Top Fastest Car In The World

Porsche Panamera Turbo S e-Hybrid -- 670bhp, 192mph

After we drove the 550bhp Panamera Turbo S, nothing regarding its batty performance made us feel like an 'S' variation was necessary. But Porsche is, it seems, even sillier than the likes of us. So it added power to the Panamera, using lessons it learned in the development of this 918 Spyder hypercar. How you might ever want this much car in your own life is beyond us, but if you're late to get a Greenpeace conference, or fearful of flying, this really can be a monumental continent crusher that could 't run out of charge.

McLaren 720S -- 710bhp, 211mph

The McLaren 720S has brought hypercar functionality to the supercar realm. It is vividly quick, and on the street, you'd struggle to spot a difference in impulse between it and the P1. But besides being a land-borne missile, it's also truly engaging to drive at reduced speed and incredibly friendly and approachable, which can be much more of an achievement than its sensational performance. It's TG's supercar of the year.

Ferrari 812 Superfast -- 789bhp, 211mph

We live in a mad, mad world. Among many pieces of evidence that this is true is the fact that Ferrari's series-production big-booted GT car is powered by a 789bhp V12 which 'll ship it beyond 62mph in 2.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 211mph. If that is one of the last of those traditional V12 supercars, until hybrids and turbos eventually kill them off, then exactly what a way to go.

Hennessey Venom F5 -- 1600bhp (claimed), 290mph (promised )

Hennessey's back , and he's going for 300mph. The Venom F5, successor to the car that struck 270mph and established Hennessey as a participant in the top speed supercar game, is called after F5 category storms, which possess a windspeed score of around 318mph. Can the Texan underdog really take it into the might of the VW Group, and Koenigsegg? 2017's reveal of the new Venom was the opening shot of round two. Place your bets...

Lamborghini Huracn Performante -- 641bhp, 205mph

It's a sign of how spoiled we've become by supercar power stats that the Huracn's vital numbers almost look somewhat limp in this provider. No matter -- that is the best car Lamborghini has ever produced. It's barely any less user-friendly than the normal Huracn, the downforce made is really spellbinding, and we'll head out on a limb here and say that the infant Lambo may well be the best-sounding automobile with this whole list. Naturally aspirated V10s for-the-win.

BMW M760Li -- 602bhp, 155mph

This unassuming pluto-barge is, in fact, the most effective, fastest road-going BMW ever produced. It's not a true M automobile, however, the bi-turbo V12 that lurks from the bloated nostrils of the ultimate 7 Series is an actual monster among motors. It grows 602bhp, and thanks to xDrive 4x4 providing the grip, it can start from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds. Therefore it's faster than the i8, faster than an M3, and up until the new M5 has been disclosed, was unassailable from the BMW range for pace. It's not too much a flagship as a destroyer.
